Exclusive Interview with Frankie Cena, Mister World Canada 2012

The Stunning Angels proudly presents Frankie Cena in an exclusive interview. Let us find out a little more about him

Describe yourself in three adjectives and explain why.
Perseverant, Passionate, and Ambitious.
I have always fought very hard for what I wanted in life. Whether it be getting into university on a full ride scholarship or performing on major stages in my province. I want to achieve a lot of things in my life and I do so with excitement and enthusiasm.

What is your biggest accomplishment so far?
I’ve been very blessed to accomplish many things in my twenty one years on this planet. I think one of my greatest accomplishments in life was being selected as one of two people from my city to attend the United Nations Youth Conference at the UN headquarters. There I was elected chairman of the entire delegation and broadcast to thousands all over the world.

Tell us about some of your family's traditions.
While I am 100% Canadian, both of my parents are born in Italy and therefore our traditions come from our Italian Heritage. Basically it’s a lot of family, a lot of food, and a lot of loud. For Thanksgiving, Easter, and Christmas the entire family gathers to enjoy a lot of home cooked food and heated discussions about everything.

Tell us five strong points about your country.
Canadians are known to be kind.
Canada is an extremely multicultural country.
Canadians are very inclusive of all people and beliefs.
We are a peacekeeping nation.
Perfect mix of Snowy Mountains and Beautiful Oceans

What is your best quality? And what is your worst quality?
I would say that one of my best qualities would be my compassion. Throughout my life I have always tried to help others. Currently I am a high school debate and speech coach, I find nothing more enjoyable then to spend my time teaching new students how to improve and teaching experienced students how to be the best. I think my worst quality is that I can be overly persistent. When I have a belief or something in mind, I will do whatever it takes to achieve it.

If you had to choose between a fit body and a fit mind, which would you choose?
While I think both are extremely important, I would not be where I am today without my mind. Being quick and having a large knowledge base allows so many doors to open.

If it was possible to take one thing along with you after your death, what would it be? Why?
I don’t want this to sound morbid, but I would take my Sister. I think we would have a lot of fun in Heaven and she has always been such a supportive force in my life. However I would also want her to live out her full life on Earth.

What was your main reason to participate in Mister World 2012?
I have always devoted my life to a few key things. Singing, Acting, Performing, Emceeing, and as already stated coaching students in speech and debate. Mr. World Canada will allow me to combine all of my passions. It will allow me to help raise funds and work with underprivileged kids. It will allow me to follow my dreams.

Tell us about your preparations for the pageant.
I have been working out daily- mostly completing the P90X workout. I have changed my diet to match my workouts. I have had long extensive meetings with Miss World Canada 2012 and Mr. World Canada 2010 and 2007. Other than that, I have continued to be myself.

Why should Mister World Organization select you as the new titleholder?
I think the Mr. World Competition is about so much more than just looks or superficial characteristics. While the winner will be an attractive man and he will likely be healthy and fit, anyone can be born beautiful and anyone can go to the gym. I have always worked with what I have been given in life and I think it is because of my diversity as a person, that I should be crowned Mr. World 2012. I am on a full ride scholarship at UBC, I coach two high school debate teams, while also coaching students privately. I work another job, while taking singing lessons and working as an entertainer. It is because of everything that I do, aligned with my personality and ability to interact with all types of people on this planet, that I should be selected.

Which fast track do you believe will make you a semi-finalist in Mr. World pageant: sport, modeling, or talent? And why?
I have been singing for a vast majority of my life. It would be an absolute honor to win the talent portion at Mr. World. I have been practicing extremely hard and I hope my arrangement of a British Song (which I will not say yet) will win over the judges.

If you don't win the title, what are your plans for the future?
Win or lose, I will continue to represent my country with the utmost pride and respect. I hope to complete a cross Canada tour speaking to groups of students around the country. I want to continue to pursue my singing and acting career and I hope to finish up my degree.
